Celery, Cucumber & Mint Detoxifying Juice
Green alkalising juices provide the body with vital nutrients helping support a healthy immune system, important as we enter the cold winter months. Cucumber and celery are high in nutrients and low in calories, packed with vitamin C, potassium and folate. Celery is also an excellent food source of vitamin K, crucial for bone health. And as the juice is freshly squeezed and raw all these nutrients are protected and easily assimilated into the body. This is a great juice post-exercise to replace some of the lost electrolytes. For 2 glasses, juice the following: 2/3 cucumber, 3 -4 celery sticks, 1 apple including skin, 2 tsp lime juice and 2-3 sprigs of mint. I took this photo when the sun was shining this morning but this juice is perfect any time of year.
